WHAT: Ash Wednesday is a day Christians have marked to begin the Lenten season in order to begin a season of reflection. We reflect on our mortality, the need we have for Jesus to die for our sins, and the hope that is coming for us at the end of Lent – Easter. The service will be a time of prayer, Scripture readings, and a brief homily on the nature of our need for Christ’s redemption. The service is about preparing us for the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday.
