Backpacks Because is a regional ministry to help families who struggle with affording back-to-school supplies. Areas churches send volunteers and sponsors to assist Porter County families. This ministry has been showing God’s love to our community for over a decade.

An important aspect of a strong family is commitment: loving and supporting each other, working together, and identifying with family values and beliefs. Belonging to a church family is very similar and involves membership. Membership is also a commitment, expressing an individual's identification, participation, and partnership with the local church. It is a public statement of allegiance, signifying agreement with what the church believes and values.
